Vulnerability assessment
We scan your environment, then a person checks every finding before it reaches the report. That removes the false positives and puts the issues that can actually be exploited at the top.
What it is
A vulnerability assessment finds known weaknesses across a defined scope: external and internal networks, servers and workstations, web applications, and cloud configuration. It does not try to break in. It measures how exposed you are.
Scanners are good at coverage and bad at context. We run them, then validate each result by hand, group duplicates, and rate what is left by how easily it can be exploited and what it would cost you if it were.
What you get
- Scope and asset inventory, so you know exactly what was covered
- Validated findings, each with a CVSS score and proof of how it was confirmed
- A plain-language summary for managers and a technical section for the people who will fix things
- A fix for each finding, ordered by priority
- A readout call, and a retest of the items you fix
How it works
- Agree scope and authorization
We write down what is in scope, which hours we can scan, and who to call if something looks wrong. We do not start without written authorization.
- Discover assets
We map hosts, services and applications so nothing in scope is missed and nothing out of scope is touched.
- Scan
Authenticated and unauthenticated scans, tuned so they do not knock over fragile systems.
- Validate
We confirm findings by hand, remove false positives and merge duplicates.
- Report and review
You get the report and a call to walk through it.
What we need from you
- Written authorization from someone who can grant it
- A scope list: IP ranges, domains, application URLs, cloud accounts
- Preferred scan windows and an emergency contact
- Read-only credentials if you want authenticated scans
Questions people ask
How is this different from a penetration test?
An assessment lists weaknesses across a wide scope. A penetration test picks the most promising ones and tries to use them, the way an attacker would, to show what they lead to. Many teams run an assessment first and a penetration test on the results.
How often should we do it?
At least once a year and after major changes. Compliance programs such as PCI DSS ask for regular scans; check what yours requires.
Will scanning disrupt our systems?
We tune scans to your environment and agree the windows with you. Fragile or legacy systems can be scanned more gently or checked by hand.
