Staffing for Public Trust roles
Some federal contract roles carry a Public Trust designation. We recruit and screen U.S. citizens for them and we check the contract’s requirements before we submit a candidate.
How Public Trust works
A Public Trust position is a job that federal regulation designates at the moderate or high risk level (5 CFR 731.106). The designation is about how much damage a bad hire could do to the integrity and efficiency of government service. It is not a security clearance, and it does not give access to classified information.
Moderate-risk positions usually go through a Tier 2 investigation and high-risk positions through Tier 4. Both use the SF-85P questionnaire. The government starts that investigation after a candidate is selected, not when they apply.
Contracts spell out who can fill the role. Where a contract requires U.S. citizenship, we only submit citizens. Where it does not, we do not screen on citizenship. We confirm which applies before we send a resume.

Questions people ask
Is Public Trust the same as a security clearance?
No. Public Trust comes from a risk designation. A clearance comes from a separate sensitivity designation and gives access to classified information.
Do candidates need an active Public Trust to apply?
It depends on the contract. Some roles want a candidate who already holds a favorable determination; others accept a candidate who can pass the investigation. The job post says which.
Do you handle the investigation paperwork?
The sponsoring agency or contractor initiates it. We prepare candidates for what the forms ask and keep the process moving.
